Yesterday, TDA made a series of working visits to various organizations in Johor Bharu.YBrs. Dr. Sharoul Jambari, CEO of TDA led the visits with the objective to engage TDA’s stakeholders in order to update the progress and current affairs of TDA and the Industrial Collaboration Programme (ICP) implementation.

The visit started with Iskandar Region Development Authority (IRDA), whereby TDA takes a look at the Iskandar Malaysia Bus Rapid Transit (IMBRT) which will transform the public transportation in the region.We were received by En. Rudyanto Azhar, the Director of IMBRT and his team.

The visit to IRDA kicked off with a presentation from Dr. Sharoul explaining ICP and the benefits it could bring from mega-project such as IMBRT. En. Rudy continues with IRDA’s presentation on the overview of the IMBRT.We were delighted to be part of the IMBRT pilot test on the prototype Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) which bears the physical appearance of a train but travels on road following a virtual route using an electric powertrain and tires.

This vehicle is capable to carry up to 300 passengers across three (3) carriages at speed up to 70 kilometers per hour.TDA believes that IMBRT capable of becoming a catalyst for technology and knowledge advancement for Malaysia through ICP implementation.
